Today the Explore the New Manufacturing Team, accompanied by the IU1 Fab Lab Team, went to Nazareth Prep to speak with students currently enrolled in the IMT Pre-Apprenticeship Program. The morning was filled with a ton of information about careers in manufacturing, along with hands-on activities and interaction with the Skill Boss (a machine that aligns directly with the MSSC CPT curriculum in the Pre-Apprenticeship). Some of the hands-on activities included measurement exercises and team building exercises, where the students worked in groups to brainstorm a prototype and figure out how to form an assembly line together.
