Quaker Valley High School Students Explore Pittsburgh Technical College

Apr 25, 2024

Today a group of high school students from Quaker Valley embarked on an exciting journey to Pittsburgh Technical College (PTC), igniting their passion for learning and paving the way for their future endeavors.

The visit began with a warm welcome from the PTC team, setting the stage for an immersive campus tour. From state-of-the-art facilities to cutting-edge laboratories, students were captivated by the vibrant atmosphere buzzing with excitement and possibility. Throughout the tour, students were not just passive observers but active participants, engaging with faculty, asking insightful questions, and potentially envisioning themselves as part of the PTC community.

Among the group were Quaker Valley students that are enrolled in Catalyst Connection’s IMT Pre-Apprenticeship program. These students had the opportunity to participate in a hands-on Blueprint Reading training session that helped bring their online content to life! These hands-on experiences are a new wrinkle on our pre-apprenticeship program this year that we are excited to continue!

As the day drew to a close, reflections of gratitude and inspiration echoed through the halls of Pittsburgh Technical College. For these Quaker Valley students, the experience was more than just a field trip; it was a glimpse into a world of endless possibilities and a testament to their potential to shape the future. Looking back on their journey, the Quaker Valley students left PTC with new information and skills.
