Yesterday, Catalyst Connection organized an engaging and insightful one-day event, hosted at Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit in partnership with The Consortium for Public Education. This session provided a condensed version of the Summer 2024 experience, offering past attendees a chance to reconnect while introducing new participants from Beaver County schools and beyond to this valuable initiative.
The event featured an engaging panel discussion with industry leaders from Covestro, Barnes Global Advisors, Penna Flame, and Coherent, who shared their expertise and insights with attendees. There was a buzz in the room filled with questions for each panelist. Adding to the experience, our friends from BotsIQ led an interactive hands-on micro bit activity, offering participants a fun and educational way to engage with technology that they can bring into their classrooms.
Additionally, the Consortium for Public Education played a vital role in the event, helping teachers translate what they learned into actionable ideas. Through guided discussions and reflection activities, educators were encouraged to put their insights on paper and develop strategies to bring these valuable lessons back to their respective districts.
To close out the day, attendees were given an exclusive tour of Kenson Plastics, providing a firsthand look at advanced manufacturing processes and industry innovations right in Beaver County.
The event was a tremendous success, fostering meaningful connections and expanding industry awareness among participants. We look forward to continuing these impactful experiences in the future!
